Hi! I’m sioned from Miss Maths

I know from experience that teaching can be challenging. Expectations are high, and the workload is heavy; there just aren’t enough hours in the day! On top of this, the current GCSE Maths and Numeracy course is huge and can feel like a burden to young people.

I decided to leave teaching when my children were young, and started thinking about how I could combine my teaching experience and my creative skills to help young people and lighten the load for teachers. Cue Miss Maths!

The aim of all the Miss Maths resources and services is to help young people enjoy maths and get the results they deserve, while supporting the great work the teachers are doing in the classroom.

Fun Facts:

I drink 5 cups of tea every day.

I enjoy baking in my spare time and love perfecting the sponge.

I also started a little business taking photographs of babies, but more people wanted maths lessons so here I am!

I live in Pen Llŷn with my husband and two daughters. I just love walking and getting out and about. There’s nothing better than climbing a mountain or walking along the beach with my little family, taking snaps on my camera along the way!

Although I became a maths teacher, my degree is in maths and art, and I’m so happy that I now have the time and flexibility to combine those skills to create resources, worksheets, and colourful and eye-catching posters that grab the attention of children and young people.

There are many ways we can work together.
